Man Proposes God Disposes

• Qualified as a Chartered Accountant, and trained myself as a programmer at the National Centre for Software Technology (NCST), started life as an industrial oil salesman but ended up in IT.

 

The Start and the End

• Started selling a Financial Accounting Package (FACT) but graduated to selling Antivirus in 1991 (Redalert). Still selling AV in 2022 (Crowdstrike).  Incidentally both were signatureless!

 

The Middle

• Launched Sonicwall & Barracuda Networks in India. Set up a National Channel Partner network for IT Security products. Made abortive attempt to retire rich and early by selling Y2K solutions

 

The Lucky Breaks

• Came across  Natural Hygiene in 1996. Yoga too! Lost  30 kg weight, gained health!

• Picked up a DSLR in 2010, haven’t  put it down yet – even when I went on the Everest Base Camp and Chadar treks!

• IT Secure, the company I set up, got acquired by Softcell Technologies in 2008

• President (Security Business) at Hitachi Systems Microclinic 2015-2020

• Back to my roots @ Softcell in 2022

 

Peter the Writer

• Wrote book on Natural Health “I am NOT a Doctor” and Youtube channel with over 30 videos on health during the lockdown

• Also created set of eight coffee table books with over 3000 photos taken over the past decade  – wildlife, landscape, wide angle, macro, snakes and reptiles, closeups, portraits, street photography and more.. That formed the basis of the photography section of the site

• Wrote a book on  “Cybersecurity Demystified” in 45 days flat!

 

Family

• The wife is a real Chartered Accountant and founder member of NGO “Birth India”

• The son Krish  is setting up a boutique Electrical Safety consulting firm, Optima Design Solutions Pvt Ltd
